Radical Transparency Checklist

- No Hidden Location Tracking: We do not track or store your precise GPS coordinates in the background.
1. Information We Collect
To provide, improve, and personalize our services, we collect the following types of information. We do not use any of this data for third-party tracking or advertising.
Account & Identifiers
We collect your Name, Email Address, User ID, and Device ID. This is used for app functionality (like creating your account, logging you in, and sending notifications), analytics, and product personalization. We will also use your email address to send essential, transactional communications regarding your account (e.g., welcome emails, password resets, subscription confirmations). With your explicit consent gathered at sign-up, we may also use your email address to send you marketing communications or updates about Lyvio.
User Content (Photos, Videos, and Messages)
We collect the photos, videos, stories, and messages you share within the app, as well as any customer support inquiries you send us. This data is strictly used for app functionality (delivering your messages and content to friends) and personalizing your experience, and is securely linked to your identity.
Purchases & Financial Info
If you purchase a subscription inside the app, we track your Purchase History to provide you with premium features (App Functionality) and to understand our app's performance (Analytics). We do not collect or store your payment information; this is safely handled entirely by Apple or Google.
Usage Data & Diagnostics
We collect Product Interaction Data (how you use the app) and Search Queries (when you search for friends) for analytics to help us understand what features our users love. We also collect anonymous Crash and Performance Data to monitor app health and fix bugs rapidly. Crash and performance data are not associated with your personal identity.
Content Specifics: Stories, Photos & Location
When you share a Story, it is visible to your friends for 24 hours before moving to your Private Archive. Photo Reactions are stored and displayed to the author of the post you reacted to. Direct messages are stored securely to ensure delivery between participants. If you choose to, you may optionally tag a Location Name (like a city or venue) on your posts; we do not store precise GPS coordinates.
2. Third-Party Service Providers
We use specific third-party services to provide the app's core functionality. We do not share your data with them for their own marketing purposes:
- Google Firebase: For user authentication, cloud database, and secure file storage.
- RevenueCat: For managing subscriptions and premium feature entitlements using an anonymous identifier.
3. Your Data Control & Deletion Rights
Retention: We keep your data for as long as your account is active. Content you delete is removed from our active production databases immediately.
How to Delete Your Data
We provide two clear paths for account and data deletion:
- In-App: Go to Settings > Account > Delete Account to immediately and permanently wipe your data.
- Web/Support: If you cannot access the app, email [email protected] with the subject "Data Deletion Request". We process these requests within 72 hours.
4. Children's Privacy
Lyvio is not intended for individuals under the age of 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we become aware that a child has provided us with personal data, we will delete it immediately. If you believe a child has provided us with data, please contact us.
5. Safety, Moderation & Child Protection
To maintain a safe environment, Lyvio implements a multi-layered moderation system:
- Reporting: Users can report any content or person directly in the app.
- Human Review: All reports are reviewed by a human moderator within 24 hours.
- Zero Tolerance: We have a zero-tolerance policy for child exploitation, harassment, and illegal content. We comply with all legal requirements regarding the reporting of illegal activities to relevant authorities.
6. Your Global Rights
Depending on your location (e.g., EU/GDPR or California/CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. We provide these tools to all users regardless of location via our settings or the contact email below.
