This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, how we share it, how long we keep it, and how you can delete it. It applies to the Lyvio iOS app, Android beta access, website, and support channels.

At a Glance
- Lyvio does not sell or rent personal information. Lyvio does not share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. We do use service providers to operate, secure, and support Lyvio, as explained in this Policy.
- We collect only the information needed to run the app, support your account, and keep the service safe.
- You can delete your account in-app or at lyvio.app/delete-account.
- If you email a deletion request, we aim to process it within 72 hours unless we need more time for legal, safety, or account verification reasons.
- Lyvio does not currently offer in-app purchases, subscriptions, or other paid features.
1. Information We Collect
- Account and profile info: name, email address, user ID, display name, username, bio, profile photo, referral code, and similar profile details.
- Age/eligibility info: if you enter a birth year during sign-up, we use it to confirm you meet the minimum age requirement.
- User-generated content: stories, posts, comments, reactions, messages, shared media, and any content you choose to upload.
- Support and correspondence: support form submissions, deletion requests, and emails you send us.
2. Social and Safety Data
- Connections and interactions: friends, friend requests, blocked users, notifications, seen posts, and moderation-related records.
- Safety actions: reports, strikes, enforcement actions, and other records needed to keep Lyvio safe.
- Shared content: content that is sent to other users, such as messages, reactions, and shared posts or media.
3. Device and Technical Data
- Technical identifiers: app instance data, push notification tokens, and security-related identifiers needed to deliver the service.
- Security checks: App Check, App Attest, DeviceCheck, sign-in validation, and similar anti-abuse signals used to help block fake clients and protect accounts.
- Diagnostic data: crash logs, performance logs, error messages, app version, device model, operating system, and similar troubleshooting data.
- Network data: standard server logs may include IP address and browser or device information when you use the app or website.
4. Permission-Based Data
- Photos, camera, and media library: if you choose to create or upload photos or videos, we process those files so you can use the feature.
- Microphone: if you choose to record audio or send voice content, we process that recording for the feature you requested.
- Clipboard: if you choose to paste or copy an image in chat, we process that image for the action you requested. Lyvio may check whether your clipboard contains an image so it can show the paste option.
- We do not intentionally request your contacts or precise GPS location for core app features.
5. Third-Party Services and Information
- Apple or Google sign-in: if you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive the account information those providers make available to us, such as email, display name, or identity tokens.
- Firebase and Google Cloud: these services process account information, content, technical identifiers, and security signals for authentication, databases, storage, server functions, abuse prevention, and content moderation.
- Crashlytics: Crashlytics processes crash reports, device and app details, error messages, and related diagnostics to help us find and fix problems.
- Expo, Apple, and Google notification services: these services process push tokens, device details, and notification content to deliver notifications.
- Resend: Resend processes email addresses and transactional email content to deliver account and service messages.
- Website services: Firebase Hosting, Google reCAPTCHA, Google Fonts, and content delivery networks may receive IP addresses, browser details, and security signals when you visit the website.
6. Platform Availability and Beta Access
- Lyvio is available on the Apple App Store for iOS.
- Android access is still in a beta phase. If you request Android beta access, we collect the name, email address, device platform, and message you submit through the form.
- We use beta request information to manage testing access, send beta invitations, prevent abuse, and respond to your request.
7. How We Use Your Information
- Create and secure your account.
- Display your profile and deliver the content you choose to share.
- Send messages, reactions, notifications, verification emails, password resets, and account deletion confirmations.
- Moderate content, detect abuse, and enforce our Terms.
- Use automated safety tools to analyze uploaded images and videos for explicit or severe violent content.
- Troubleshoot problems, fix bugs, and improve reliability.
- Comply with law, respond to valid requests, and protect users and the service.
8. How We Share Information
- With service providers: we use Firebase and Google Cloud for authentication, databases, storage, server functions, security, and automated content moderation; Google Cloud Vision and Video Intelligence to analyze uploaded post and story media for safety; Resend for transactional email; Expo, Apple, and Google services for push notifications; and Crashlytics for crash reporting. These providers process information to supply their services to Lyvio under their applicable terms and agreements.
- With other users: your profile, posts, stories, reactions, messages, and similar content are shared with the people you choose to share them with, according to the app's features and your settings.
- For legal and safety reasons: we may disclose data when required by law, to respond to lawful requests, to enforce our Terms, or to protect users, the public, or Lyvio.
Professional Accounts
If you follow a Lyvio Pro account, the owner of that Pro account can see the public profile information you choose to display, that you follow the account, and when you followed it. Pro accounts can also see comments, reactions, and messages you send to them. Pro accounts receive aggregate information about followers, posts, comments, and reactions to help them understand activity within their community. Lyvio does not provide Pro accounts with your email address, birth year, IP address, device diagnostics, private messages sent to other people, or a list of people who only viewed a post.
Tracking and Advertising
- Lyvio does not sell or rent personal information.
- Lyvio does not share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising.
- We do not use personal information for targeted advertising or cross-app tracking.
- We do not intentionally use advertising identifiers for ad tracking.
- If this changes, we will update this policy and request any required permissions or consents.
9. Automated Content Moderation
- When you upload an image or video as a post or story, automated tools provided by Google Cloud may analyze that media for potentially explicit or severe violent content.
- The tools may assign safety labels. Based on those signals and Lyvio's safety rules, content may be rejected or removed automatically.
- We may keep a moderation record containing an account identifier, the content type, the reason for the decision, and the time of the decision for safety, appeals, and abuse prevention.
- Automated tools can make mistakes. You may request human review of an automated moderation decision by emailing [email protected].
10. Data Retention and Deletion
- We keep your data while your account is active and as long as needed to provide the service.
- When you delete your account, we remove your account and associated data from our active systems, including the data we control in Firebase and related services.
- We may keep limited records for security, fraud prevention, legal obligations, dispute resolution, or service integrity.
- You can delete your account in the app or at lyvio.app/delete-account. If you cannot access the app, email [email protected].
- We aim to process email-based deletion requests within 72 hours unless we need more time for legal, safety, or account verification reasons.
11. Your Choices and Rights
- You can access, update, or delete parts of your account through the app settings. You can request access to or correction of personal information Lyvio holds about you by contacting the Lyvio Privacy Officer at [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity before completing the request.
- You can turn off push notifications, camera, microphone, or photo permissions in your device settings.
- You can unsubscribe from nonessential emails if we ever send them.
- You may also have rights available under applicable law.
12. Children's Privacy
- Lyvio is not intended for people under 13, or the minimum age required in your country if that is higher.
- If we learn that we collected personal data from a child without proper consent, we will delete it as soon as reasonably possible.
13. International Transfers and Security
Your information may be processed in countries outside of your own, including where our service providers operate. We take reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect your data, including limiting access to authorized personnel and vendors who need the data to perform their work.
14. Changes to This Policy and Contact
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If a change materially affects how we collect, use, or disclose personal information, we will provide appropriate notice and obtain consent when required by law. We will post the updated version here and update the effective date above.
