We're Gen Z. We didn't just witness the shift in social media over the last decade; we lived it. We grew up alongside the "like" button, the infinite scroll, and the pressure that comes with having a digital public square in your pocket. But over time, we realized something: the apps we were using didn't actually make us feel more connected. They made us feel exhausted.
Lyvio wasn't born out of a boardroom or a market research study. It was born out of our own digital burnout. We lived the problems of social media—the performance anxiety, the endless comparison, and the constant extraction of our attention—and we simply decided we were done with it.
Building the Solution for Us
We didn't set out to build a "product" for a target demographic. Honestly? **We built Lyvio for ourselves.** We wanted a space where we could check in on our three or four closest friends without being bombarded by ads, influencers, or an algorithm designed to keep us hooked. We wanted a social tool that respected our time and helped us get back to our real lives, rather than replacing them.
"We're building the social home we actually want to live in."
A Tool for the Community
While we started this journey to solve our own problems, we quickly realized we weren't alone. Everywhere we looked, we saw people—especially in our own generation—who were just as tired as we were. Tired of curation. Tired of the noise.
By building this for ourselves, we've created a social network that doesn't need to sell your data or manipulate your emotions to be successful. We prioritize authenticity because that's what we need. We prioritize closure because that's what we need.
We're building the social app we wished we had growing up. We built it for us, and we truly hope you find as much value in it as we have. The rest is offline.
